Overview: This game offers a solid introduction to cybersecurity and hacking concepts, making it an engaging choice for those curious about the fundamentals of the field. However, while the gameplay is educational and entertaining, it’s not without its drawbacks. Strengths: - Cybersecurity Focus: The game effectively dives into the basics of hacking and cybersecurity, making it an accessible and enjoyable learning experience. - Challenging Gameplay: Some levels offer a good test of problem-solving skills, keeping players engaged and pushing their limits. Weaknesses: - Mocking Real People: The constant jabs at real-world individuals feel unnecessary and may come across as mean-spirited rather than humorous. - Frustrating Levels: Certain levels feel overly obtuse or poorly designed, requiring external guides to complete, which can hinder the overall flow of the game. Final Thoughts: While the game succeeds in teaching cybersecurity concepts and offering challenging puzzles, its tone and occasional level design flaws might detract from the experience for some players. If you’re interested in hacking basics and can overlook some annoyances, it’s still a worthwhile play. A little more polish and sensitivity could elevate this from good to great!

As someone in cybersec I am actually impressed at how realistic this game is. It's not a wow factor but going into it I certainly didn't expect to have this experience. Sure this is an extremely simplified version of the real deal but even then it's quite detailed. You even have a team red concept in this game. Had a bit of a rough time due to habits since they obviously don't work here but I enjoyed the game. I do wish there was an IDS concept though and a bit more freedom with what you can (choose to) do. ---{ Graphics }--- ☐ You forget what reality is ☐ Beautiful β˜‘ Good ☐ Decent ☐ Bad ☐ Donβ€˜t look too long at it ☐ MS-DOS ---{ Gameplay }--- ☐ Very good β˜‘ Good ☐ It's just gameplay ☐ Mehh ☐ Watch paint dry instead ☐ Just don't ---{ Audio }--- ☐ Eargasm ☐ Very good ☐ Good β˜‘ Not too bad ☐ Bad ☐ I'm now deaf ---{ Dialogue }--- ☐ Deserves an Oscar ☐ Great β˜‘ Decent ☐ Underwhelming ☐ Horrible ☐ 404 Dialogue not found ---{ Audience }--- ☐ Kids β˜‘ Teens β˜‘ Adults ☐ Grandma ---{ PC Requirements }--- ☐ Check if you can run paint β˜‘ Potato ☐ Decent ☐ Fast ☐ Rich boi ☐ Ask NASA if they have a spare computer ---{ Difficulty }--- ☐ Just press 'W' ☐ Easy β˜‘ Easy to learn / Hard to master ☐ Significant brain usage ☐ Difficult ☐ Dark Souls ---{ Grind }--- β˜‘ Nothing to grind ☐ Only if u care about leaderboards/ranks ☐ Isn't necessary to progress ☐ Average grind level ☐ Too much grind ☐ You'll need a second life for grinding ---{ Story }--- ☐ No Story ☐ Some lore ☐ Average β˜‘ Good ☐ Lovely ☐ It'll replace your life ---{ Game Time }--- ☐ Long enough for a cup of coffee β˜‘ Short ☐ Average ☐ Long ☐ To infinity and beyond ---{ Price }--- ☐ It's free! ☐ Worth the price β˜‘ If it's on sale ☐ If u have some spare money left ☐ Not recommended ☐ You could also just burn your money ---{ Bugs }--- ☐ Never heard of β˜‘ Minor bugs ☐ Can get annoying ☐ Significant, nothing but a big terrarium for bugs ☐ Call the exterminators ---{ ? / 10 }--- ☐ 1 ☐ 2 ☐ 3 ☐ 4 ☐ 5 ☐ 6 β˜‘ 7 ☐ 8 ☐ 9 ☐ 10

If you are a novice programmer and want to learn, I would start with this game then move on to Grey Hack for more steep learning curve once you get the hang of basic commands. I have both games and they're both intellectually challenging for the brain. Unlke Grey Hack, Anonymous Hacker is more player friendly to new players. Good Luck. 7/10

As someone who actually does cybersecurity and some ethical hacking for a living, this game is a lot of fun. I’d have preferred if the tools were less simplified (since I’ve used basically all of the real tools, it meant I had to unlearn some of the tools I knew because they worked differently here), but I also understand that it’s a game and at some level it’s just meant to be fun, not hyper realistic. My only complaint at all (or perhaps wishlist item) is that I wish there was a no guidance/sandbox mode, where there isn’t an org guiding you and you just do things on your own - I.e. you see a headline about Elan Mask abusing his workers and you decide to do something about it without a mission behind it. Overall though a very fun experience!
