Game is fun reminded me of tim burton nightmare before christmas oogie revenge just cos of bearer dodge XD if you have a itch to play a ps2 style game with voice acting and dialogue from those times as well this is a good game to pick up even though dialogue can be cringey it can make you laugh sometimes too which is great looking forward to next game

📖 Don't let some negative reviews turn you away. It was created by a small team, and for this price it's incredibly fun and impressive in its own way. It's a good ~15h hack'n'slash adventure, definitely inspired by DMC1 and a few other games. For an indie, the environment design is amazing, along with the atmosphere it creates. Good music & well written story. The combat system may seem unusual, but you quickly get used to its speed, it's responsive and even has variability, due to the linking of various skills into combos. There is a lvl system, chars equip and many secrets. Ngl, took me a long time to get to this, but it’s filled with the spirit of pre-twenty tenths games and has a decent amount of fun, despite the slightly rough parts, like the platforming. It works, and it's not even close to bad.

One of the best games in the world! Anima Gate of Memories, i.e. books that are played and told, and games based on them (now the next part of "Anima: Song from the Abbys" will be released). The game has a few endings, it is similar to the older Devil May Cry parts, it is not easy, we wander from room to room, opening new paths, figuring out how to get there by opening others/killing bosses, collecting fragments of the story from memories. The game is quite hardcore. There is no difficulty level to choose from. ~~~~ It is possible that the studio that created this world is small, because the game mechanics and graphics leave much to be desired, but I think that the focus should not be on this while playing, but on the story, because it can move you to tears, there is no point in playing without reading the notes . When you read the memories of past personalities, they sound like stories. At the same time, the heroine's sweet voice reads them. ~~~~ It was a lot of fun playing through this game and although there was sweat, irritation and I could even get lost, there was also great satisfaction because the world is so interesting and what's more interesting is what will happen next and what is written in subsequent memories that you quickly forget about about the disadvantages of the game, I was extremely stubborn and liked to play it at night xD The heroine's relationship with her companion is also interesting here. Touching, sad, with some funny moments. I became very attached to this series and the main characters <3 ~~~~ It's really hard for me to say goodbye to the characters (although I still have a game plus to play), and at the end of the good ending I felt a bit sad, emotional and nostalgic. Does there always have to be sacrifices in such a beautiful but cruel world? ~~~~ As for the books, I saw that there are a lot of them and, if someone has access to them, they can meet many more wonderful characters. It's a pity that this is not so popular in my country (I'm from Poland). Anyway, there's another game in this series coming up and I definitely need to play it. If the creators have or will have any future plans to create other games in this series, I will always be open to them. I'm putting this game on the Top Best Games list and I will never forget about it and the characters <3 Music and story 10/10 PS There is also The Nameless Chronicles game.

✅ Quite underrated JRPG. Really liked the story. Each bosses had their own backstories which were interesting to read ✅ 2 playable characters, the dialogues between them were interesting and quite funny sometimes ✅ Personally found the combat fun and satisfying ✅ Huge skill tree ✅ Interesting lores ❌ Boss fights are extremely difficult for a game like this. I don't think any average gamers can beat them ❌ There is a section in the game which is horribly designed; everything is dark and you have to pass through platforms where you can barely see anything. It was such a painful experience ❌ Movement/Dodging doesn't feel fluid ❌ Graphics looks dull ❌ Controls feels stiff which makes the platforming difficult
