*** Pros *** - Great backrooms vibes. The developer nailed how the backrooms feels. - Diverse levels. I love the variety, even if some of them are shorter than others (more on that later). - Decently priced. For $10 you can get a simple backrooms game with good liminal vibes. *** Cons *** - Not enough content. The story ends on a cliffhanger, and now we're just waiting for more. - Short levels. Some of the levels just feel small. I love how they are laid out, but there are areas that are clearly unfinished. I think they could be polished and expanded on more. Overall, I would recommend it as it has a lot of promise and is currently a good game to play through at the moment.

Short but lovely liminal spaces game. Holding out hope for Chapter 2. There's a small puzzle element but it's really about collecting items to move the game forward. Really you could just endlessly explore these spaces and some are more detailed and varied than others. Interesting objects to interact with. Nostalgic. I won't spoil anything, but as you travel through more areas, the added twist is surprising, but not unwelcome and doesn't completely take over the game or change the mood. Graphics are polished and interface and controls are clean and intuitive.

As I'm sure I'm someone with a weirdly high play time for a game you can finish in 2-3 hours, I felt I really SHOULD leave an official review with my opinion. Even though it's probably a bit obvious. I love this game. It's the only liminal space game that has really been what I wanted it to be. You're alone for so long that by the time something does show up, it's impactful. THe environments are wonderful, a perfect balance of relaxing and unnerving. I replay the game very regularly. I hope that chapter 2 will bring more interesting and lovely environments to explore!! Espeically more pool stuff, the pool area is my favorite. But even if the dev is not able to do a second part, I am super happy with what we have.

Unlike what some reviewers would like you to believe. This game is not in fact abandoned. The developer stated on Twitter that they've been unable to find time to do any dev work but will be working on smaller projects to ease back into the swing of things. If you like the backrooms, this game is well worth the buy and is more than going to be well worth the wait. Plus the dev at least gets some money this way.
