Wow. I could just write that as my review because this game has suuuuuch a deeper meaning than it seems when you begin the game. I won't give any spoilers. This game is just definitely going to be one I will revisit. That's for sure. This game gets pretty creepy and pretty quick too. It has you questioning the entire time what is really going on. Why is this baby going on an adventure with a teddy bear to find where his mom went? The answer to that question is why this game is so good. Once you finish the game too, it gives you this museum to walk through. You get to see what it took to create this game. They show you every meaning behind every chapter. It's so masterful. So well thought out. Definitely worth the purchase.

It's been quite a while since "Among the sleep" first were released, but 10 years later, I still think of this game as one of the better horror / dark adventure games I've played. This game has a really cool vibe to it, and the fact that you're in the role of a toddler makes for a more terrifying experience. You are helpless, and have no ability to defend yourself. The best aspects of this game is definitely the world building and the atmosphere it creates. It really feels like you're navigating through a nightmare.

Among the Sleep is a Norwegian-developed first-person horror walking sim, where you play as a toddler. Oh also, this is probably the only game in existance to feature the Swedish nurse rhyme "Trollmors vaggsång" which is pretty funny as it's something I recognize from my own childhood. You wake up in the middle of the night, looking for your mother together with your new best friend - the Teddy Bear. While he has no name, he is actually voiced! The voice-acting is pretty decent, however as someone from Scandinavia it would have actually been fun to play it with Norwegian voice acting (I only noticed this existed due to the credits). You realize quickly that your house is not really the same during night... During the game itself you are also told a secondary story, a story about your parents and the biggest anxiety of the child you are playing. The big monster so to speak. So gameplay-wise you have 4 levels + the prologue. They're not very long, but different puzzles and segments makes some levels more tedious than others. The main downside of this game is the monster. I know right? Well, much like other games of the genre and era this game is the worst when the monster makes an appearance. Perhaps it's just me liking the athmosphere of "maybe a monster being there" rather than it actually existing, or more the type of horror game where you can actually beat the monsters. Eitherway the puzzles are mostly 3D platforming or collecting items, nothing complicated but it's not really simple either. This isn't a very long game, you can definitely finish it quicker than I did who chased down all of the collectible drawings (and re-did some segments due to the previously mentioned monster). But I'd say it's recommended for people who are fan of this genre and type of games!

WOW just.. WOW! Its amazing and really cute! You can change your pajamas which is one of the things I love about this game! I love when I can customize the characters I play as. The story is wonderful, the game play is 10/10 SO COOL. The ending is like a crazy plot twist and the whole game is just a masterpiece. Give it a try!
