Entering ALTF4 feels less like playing a game and more like a rite of passage. The controls are deceptively simple, leading you to believe it’s easy—until they betray you at every crucial jump. It’s as if the developer wants you to experience frustration at a molecular level. The level design is digital torture at its finest, reminiscent of a nightmare-inspired Dark Souls. Progress? Just a tantalizing mirage, vanishing the moment you think you’ve made it. Like it! <3

I'm 5 hours in and can't get past the 2nd level, yet I feel zero frustration and can't wait to keep playing. That's pretty much all you need to know about this game.

The main reason I'm recommending this game is for its four main maps. However, beyond that, there isn't much else to it. While the main maps offered a decent challenge and some enjoyable moments, my experience was marred by the addition of two other maps: one from the old version of the game and the new "WTF HELL" map. My main issue with the game was the new map—It just wasn't normal. and I could only progress, through glitches and sheer luck. My advice is to focus on completing the main story and then move on. Keep in mind that the game is meant to be hard, but the frustration it brings might not be worth it in the end. i hope this review helps you with your decision
