Air Conflicts - Secret Wars offers a mix of arcade-style dogfighting and historical missions. While the graphics and gameplay are decent, the repetitive missions and lackluster storyline make it a mediocre experience overall. It's suitable for casual aviation enthusiasts looking for light entertainment. I purchased it for nostalgia, as the original Air Conflicts from 2006 was one of my first PC games. Revisiting it was a blast from the past.

Fairly enjoyable game despite its age. I am yet to complete chapter 1 - the siege of tobruk, have flown 3-5 missions and am having fun so far. I am playing with an xbox 360 type wired controller-gamepad in arcade control mode so idk how it would feel on keyboard. There is also a controller simulation mode available which offers greater control. I recommend using a controller for this game. You play as DeeDee an independent pilot who works as smuggler and similar flight related odd jobs now bought into the fold against the Nazis during WWII. You are paid to fly covert , off the books pilot missions. I play on pilot difficulty. There are four difficulties rookie, pilot, veteran and ace. So far the weapons i used on the planes were guns, bombs and missiles. p.s - i am playing this game for the first time. I also like the comic book style used for telling the story,

It's a childhood game of mine. It's cool to play it. It has a very educational story line.

Awesome little game, worth the money (even more so if you can get it discounted) Note, that I originally discovered this by a marked up disc version a few years back, that was somehow in a big retailer, and it was still worth the $20 or so the disc cost (+ DRM.) Thankfully, the steam version is DRM free. :) (So technically i've got this twice and it was still worth it)

I've played this way back when it came out, but since I've got on steam, I decided to give it a go. The game is a fun arcade flight simulator, nothing too realistic which is good in my opinion, after all we all want to shoot tens of planes with ours without dying a dozen or so times. The campaign is surprisingly decent keeping you interested in it fro as long as it last, with a really good ending. There were some annoying parts mostly on stealth missions, but hey, nothing is perfect. Personally , I never encounter bugs or worse not being able to play the game, but if you do, there are some solutions posted as guides, so give that a try. So, if you like arcade flight sim where you fight the whole Luftwaffe and still win, then this might be the game for you.
