It's a bit grindy but i can live with that. The water looks nice, the boats look good overall are the graphics very good. Characters look okay and they are voiced. There are some enemies that spawn a little too fast, so you don't have much time to loot or repair before they respawn again I have not tried PVP, but i don't really like PVP in any games, its not forced in this and you can choose to not play it.

Currently sitting at 94 hours of game-play since the Early Access Release, this is in addition to the 100+ hours during the Closed Beta Test. What's Great: 1. Shooting Shooting the guns feels amazing. The sound, the visuals from different weapon systems, the impact and how the different weapons affect enemy ships visually and damage-wise...the guns are simply satisfying. 2. Movement While some of the movement needs tweaking to prevent sudden and inexplicable overturning and sinking, overall the sailing, maneuvering, and speeding over the waves feels inspired and fresh. Traveling from one side of the map to the other feels good. 3. Ship Customization The sheer possibilities for ship editing and customizing of your preferred load-out is impressive. There's not just four or five different ways to build a boat, there's truly countless ways to make your your items fit and to give your boat a personal touch. 4. Physics Gravity, velocity, weight, force, these are all in full play within the game. Your boat can go from nose heavy to back-end heavy depending on what you put on your boat and where it's placed. Finding the sweet spot for keeping your boat stable while you cruise at 90/mph is part of what brings pride to the player as they watch their careful layout planning result in better and better handling during combat. 5. Player Versus Player While there are limited options currently for PvP, the modes that are currently in the game feel good, are balanced, and never feel like a chore. It seems the Developers have found a way to make PvP available to those who want to participate while allowing everyone else to avoid it if they so choose. The balance that's been struck is very good. What's not so great 1. The Group System Currently, with the exception of maybe 4-5 quests and 5-6 boat captures, there is no incentive to group together, in fact it's downright punishing. Loot and EXP cannot be shared or distributed evenly while in a group, items cannot be traded or given. I imagine at some point we'll get a purpose for grouping but, for the moment, it feels out of place and meaningless. 2. The Looting and Breakdown System Spamming "E" hundreds of times to pick up loot is carpel tunnel inducing. It's very cool to see all the loot strung about in the ocean but the tediousness of having to manually drive to each spot and rapidly spam the "E" key while getting shot has lost all of its novelty. Then there's the breakdown/scrapping system. About half of the items you pick up will need to be broken down for crafting parts, very nice by the way, but having to right click each part, then select "Breakdown" then click "Yes I'm sure" for hundreds of items is beyond nightmare level punishment for the player. 3. The Skill Point System I was eager to get into the RPG system of selecting the correct skill points for each crew member of the ship...that is until I discovered that, if you decide to go the other way, that there is no option to respec or reset your skills. There's information and critical details about certain weapon systems that cannot be known until you reach the end-game and have access to those weapons. That said, penalizing a player for putting skill points into a certain area and then providing no means to adjust them after the fact...well it ignores the fact that players cannot possibly know what skill builds they intend to use in the end-game. Currently I'd give the game a 3/5 but the potential could easily go to 5/5 with the following: 1. Additional content for solo and group play 2. Group mechanics corrected to allow for incentivized group play. 3. Looting/Scrapping system overhaul 4. Skill point Respecs 5. Additional PvP modes/opportunities with incentives tied to each

Even though there were problems connecting to the game early in the day after release (just wouldn't connect to the session) throughout the day the developers responded and fixed the problems -- thanks to them for that. As for gameplay, I just enjoyed sailing the vastness of the sea with my friend. However, there were situations when I had to fight with other players, but I even enjoyed it! I felt like a pirate in those situations

So far, the game is totally up my alley. The graphics are super nice, and it's just fun to play and explore the world. Plus, right from the start, it gives off vibes of my favorite movie, Waterworld.

Barring the poor server performance, the game is quite addictive and fun. I will hope that players won't have to face such problems often.
