A "spreadsheety" management game that puts you in charge of your own gladiatorial school. You need to train your fighters, manage finances, and make tough decisions in the arena. It's ok but I couldn't really get that deep into it.

Age of Gladiators is a management game featuring gladiators. The learning curve is quite steep. Patience and careful management of financial resources are certainly key. There are three important factors: training and building a high-quality staff, event sponsorship, and recruiting new promising gladiators. You need to start very slowly because the management costs are very high. In the early stages, recovery times are long, so it is wise to rotate 3-4 gladiators. In the intermediate stages, sponsorship becomes crucial, as it should be continuous to ensure regular matches, almost every day. This way, you can develop many profiles at once and be competitive at all difficulty levels. If done manually, managing the skill points and attributes of the gladiators can become quite challenging and boring when you have more than 10 gladiators. The fact that you must reach Rome and work your way up from smaller fighting arenas makes the team's growth engaging and compelling. Well-balanced and motivating achievements. The game becomes really fun once you understand the mechanics. It can be frustrating for those new to the genre because of the steep learning curve.

I love gladiator games and tried a whole bunch of simulators, though to be honest, there aren't too many. This one is one of my favourites as I really enjoyed the challenge and the grind to the stop felt satisfying. Would recommend a try.

Good game to play that is fun, however once you understand how to win, it becomes a little simplistic/repetitive. Very good artwork throughout, and the gladiator theme has been implemented well, but it is simply too easy to win. If you are a fan of ancient history, or enjoyed the film Gladiator, definitely get this game. It will certainly keep you entertained for atleast afew hours. There are alot of cool things you will probably enjoy. ******************************************************************************* I read somewhere people were struggling in how to start this game, or how to win. I will give afew pointers. Starting is the hardest part of the game funnily enough, but once you get settled, it will be almost impossible for you to lose. I just completed the game with 94 million in the bank.

Its a simple clicker game that can be challenging for the first play-through, but when you go for Agility and Reflexes basically no opponent can defeat your gladiators. I like the simplicity of the gladiator level ups and inventory, I think for this game it is optimal. The only thing I would like to see is the ability to send multiple gladiators to fight on a given day. For example, "Massive" events could allow you to send lets say 5 gladiators to fight, "Strong" event could be 3 gladiators and the rest could be 1 just like now. Visuals and music are spot on!
