I play this game entirely in VR on my Quest 3. No keyboard or HOTAS. It is amazing to not have to check a keyboard command to do anything. You want to change something, I find it in the virtual cockpit. So I'm grabbing the stick, yolk or side stick in the actual aircraft. The only thing I might consider is rudder pedals. Otherwise very inexpensive and immersive sim. Love it.

Fantastic flight sim! In less than 2 hours, it has given me more joy of flight and feeling of speed, thrill and freedom than any MSFS or X-Plane have for the last 2 decades. And I am saying this as a hardcore sim fan. It looks fantastic, sharp and with great visual depth. Not only does the sim load incredibly fast, under 10 seconds from desktop to in-flight over dense areas. On the same rig, X-Plane 11 and 12 took several minutes to load both menu and flight. The sense of speed is top notch, so is the playability. Buildings, trees and objects (of which there are incredibly many) are well placed on their photoreal textures and do not seem to impact the speed of the sim at all. This is something others should learn from. It has a limited set of graphic settings, but I can just put it all on ultra and it runs perfectly smooth. The menus are very readable, a large UI which I appreciate. It is easy to configure your flight, and if you change plane or location/weather it loads just as fast. Plane models are sharp, well designed and so are the cockpits! This sim is easily worth the money and more, it is criminal how overlooked it is. IPACS, keep up your good work!! Please keep this sim alive well into the future!

I was skeptical about his one. I am a flight sim enthusiast, but one that cares more about graphics and sightseeing. So, a long time ago I tried version 2 of this sim, and was immensely disappointed. Bad graphics, limited locations... A big let down, so I ended up refunding it. I heard about this new version this morning and, frustrated about the VR experiences on the major competitors, decided to try this update. So I fired up the default flight at San Francisco. As expected, graphics were not very impressive. The ground textures were bad, but the buildings were OK. Water is just a texture, not "real" water (an old problem). I decided to try flying over my home town, in Brazil, which is usually forgotten about in all sims. Expecting an empty wasteland, I started the flight and... Was pleasantly surprised! The small local airclub airport was available, and right from the start I felt that the sim surpassed my expectations by far. Of course, the ground textures were even worse, but the buildings were all there, at least as accurately as the other main competitor. Some roads seemed to be missing, though, which was weird, but ok, not that bad. After that, I realized that I have not installed the DLC scenery packs, so the ground textures of at least US and Europe seem much, much better now. From the forums and recent updates release notes, I saw that global coverage is still being slowly implemented, and it is expeted that the ground textures resolution will improve over time. But even if it isn't, I want to show my support the developres (a small team) for creating something that, indeed rivals the competition. Kudos to them, and I recommend this software for anyone longing for a fresh and stable flight simulation experience. Now for the VR experience... WOW. Simply WOW. Butter smooth flight on ultra settings. The interface is lacking (maybe I haven't set my controls right), some functions are gone (as the copilot overlay, for example), but everything else is simply amazing! Nice to finally have a smooth experience! Just hope something is done regarding the ground textures... And as a final word, I believe this sim would be perfect if the following points were to be addressed in the future (even if it is on another major version that I would probably gladly buy): - Again, increase the resolution of the ground textures globally (and please fix the near-land/far from land ocean blending) - Implement actual water (not just a texture, waves and all. Would also solve the ocean blending problem) - A real time and dynamic weather engine! - Update the menu UI (it is awful, but you spend very little time there) - A VR interface that is a little more friendly (the controls are not explained anywhere) - More GA aircraft (personal preference)!

I've played this game for all of an hour at the time of reviewing and can easily say that this is the best VR flight simulator out there right now. If you like VTOL VR but want the added complexity of a realistic cockpit, this is your game. Game loads very fast, runs well on VR, and virtual controls are solid. Little imprecise at first but its easy to get the hang of. Aircraft selection is also fantastic without any DLC. Major downside is lack of multiplayer / shared cockpit. Shared cockpit would turn this game from great to a masterpiece for VR.
