It's a good game giving an alternate story of Achilles' fight in Troy, it fuses souls-like with hack'n'slash and it does it pretty well, Achilles: Legends Untold reminds me a lot of God Of War (the old ones, the good ones) I just wish it was a bit more polished, it has great scenery, excellent sound and audio design, great soundtrack (I only wish there were more tracks) good atmosphere and graphics, good variety of weapons and special abilities, good level design as well as boss and overall enemy design. With a lot of areas to explore and loot, the maps never feel empty. wherever you go there's gonna be either a bunch of enemies or some chests or gold etc. The game is easily 100% achievable within 20 hours, so for those who want a game that doesn't drag too long yet they like to explore and complete all the objectives of entire maps, this is for you. The combat is satisfying, combos vary based on the weapon you carry, you either dual weilding axes, swords, spears or you can blend in different weapons together, 2 handed swords, or one handed weapons and a shield. There are also special abilities tied to certain weapons, all in all the combat variety is very good, especially in late game where you can slaughter everything with ease. Last but not least, I want to talk about difficulty, I was surprised when I saw that such game didn't take the lazy route of simply buffing enemies' hp and dmg. Don't get me wrong, enemies indeed need more hits to be killed, and they also shred your bar, but they are challenging because they act smarter, faster and a lot of times they have new abilities. On the other side of hand, the game suffers from low budget voice acting and cutscenes (which is understandable) enemies have the same voice lines and voices. You'll hear the same guy saying the same thing whether he is a soldier or a creature of darkness. Some dungeons are almost indentical, bosses are extremely easy on normal difficulty but some outright impossible on hard difficulty, some normal enemies will literally one hit kill you on hard difficulty, I mean.. why? To give a clearer view, in the last map of the game the enemy numbers massively increase, which means every 5 meters there will be a group of enemies, that leads to face multiple groups at the same time, now imagine that 2 of them can stagger you and 2 others can one hit kill you. It's a good challenge but if that's the case on hard diff, what happens on expert? They kill you with eye contact? Anyway I think I cherry picked a bit with this one, it's not a big deal at the end of the day, it happened to me 2-3 times so I think it's alright. All in all, for a game of this caliber, Achilles: Legends Untold definitely delivers what it promises and while not being a mind blowing game, it's a good experience and an easy game to add to your collection of perfect games. I would recommend even on full price if you are heading for 100%. Overall: 7/10

Finished the entire game, every cave, fight, main quest, side quest the game had, ONCE. It took me 20 hours. Only 2 bugs I found: 1, I got stuck in between some terrain rocks after rolling too much (game has an unstuck button clearly for these so easily solved) and 2 the "cart wheel side mission" got bugged on my end because I found the item before the quest giver gave me the mission and some flags seem to not be correctly setup. A very minor side quest, but the only one I "didn't finish". Overall, I liked the game. I played solo, I understand you can play this fully coop - if you do play COOP, I recommend you play at least on Hard, because medium was an experience to me of being very easy in some areas, with spikes of dificulty in others but it was never super hard even on big bosses.

This game is really dope. If you like Diablo style gameplay but don't like the eventual progression of murdering hundreds of enemies while spamming 1 button then this is the one. Each pack of enemies feels like a challenge.

Much better than I expected, would easily recommend if you like both ARPG's and Soul like mechanics and want to see what it would be like combined. Well executed, though where i am at in the game my only gripe is lack of skills to make the game play a bit more varied.

Very good and simply game to play. You don't have to worry about lots of loot and managing inventory space weapons and armour wise. There isn't a complicated skill tree system with classes to worry about. Crafting consumables is very easy to do. It's just a good Hack and Slash game with very little stress.
