When I first tried this game, I bounced off of it hard. I came back to it after a month or two and had a much more enjoyable time. The key difference is that the first time around I was expecting an RPG that incorporated poker into the rules; what you get is an RPG that incorporates a poker *deck* and poker *terms* but has little to do with the game poker itself. In particular, the asymmetry between defensive and offensive hands will really mess with you if you're coming at it from a poker perspective. What you actually get here is a non-poker but rather clever deckbuilder roguelike with pretty solid writing on the narrative front. The technical writing leaves some things to be desired, and the "help" screen raises more questions than it answers. Fortunately, the interface does a good job of papering over these deficiencies, with visual cues and helpful pop-ups. I'm not far into the game at all, and have no idea what the scaling or deep deck-building aspects are like. But I almost gave up on this game without giving it a fair chance, just because my expectations were pretty far off. If you're looking for something to scratch a poker itch, this isn't it, but so far it seems like it will scratch a roguelike itch.

Fun card game. Lots of content to play through and lots of stuff to unlock. Solid variety in and between the 5 different playable heroes. Main downside is pretty horrendous UI.

Another excellent title from Triple B. It's weird, it's different, and it's fun to play. Some people were complaining about the difficulty being low, which, if you're used to playing max ascension on other roguelikes, yeah, I get it... But if you're not looking for the next S tier challenge and you just want a neat story with some cool card-based combat, it's an excelllent little title.

Incredible game! Just when I was starting to come down from the Balatro high, this gem picks it right back up. It has the same addicting feeling I got when playing Slay the Spire which is insane! Highly recommend if you liked Balatro and love a good deck builder. Also the voice acting is awesome!

This is a great game, if you like poker and adventures. You have a various selection of different characters, that each has their own abilities cards, and then you go on different adventures to play poker hands against the enemies. You unlock different cards and can make your own ability deck over time, to improve your different characters. There is much replay-ability. Still have so many adventures to go on.
