As always, Devcats deliver astonishing games. This time we have a vertical Hidden Object game about cats in different eras. Leo, the intern, needs your help. You got to find cats, bolts and nuts. Why bolts and nuts? To build a space craft! To find and save cats from outer galaxies! PROS: - Vertical Hidden Object with cats! - Simple and colored worlds / eras (prehistory, Egypt, Ancient Rome, American Industrial Revolution, our 1990s and the Future); - Easy to learn mechanics; - Trading cards and achievements. CONS: - None at the moment. I recommend this game to all players who love cats and history!

Perhaps the most impressive and longest game Devcats has done so far! The tower in the game represents the history of mankind. Each floor is from a particular time period: we start at the bottom (prehistory) and eventually reach the "future" which essentially means building a spaceship and allowing our little ones to flee planet Earth in search of a better place. Now, because of the task of constructing a ship not only do we need to find cats but also nuts and bolts. At first, you notice the "hint" feature only helps with pets but there is a special screen with an inventory. As you go up, each floor has a special cat you can talk to (familiar faces from the series) who gives a task. This usually means finding something else such as plastic bottles (for the purpose of recycling) or pots where we can put seeds. And here you notice that in this game cats are not the only focus (message) but A Tower Full of Cats also reminds you of the importance of saving our planet. Floor access requirements are tied to cats (not all of them, though) and to the special tasks, too. For the latter we can't use any hints. And we have interior locations as well. These are time period specific so in prehistory we can check 2 caves, in medieval times we look for cats in a torture chamber and in modern times we have rooms with items / pieces of furniture from the '60, '80s and 2010s etc. In typical Devcats fashion just because we managed to help our friends with the ship and reached another planet, we can still return to previous locations to complete unfinished tasks. I liked that many items we gain allows us to access new locations and the best is the special device at the end when 10 cats are added to each floor (including the inside locations) but their clothing suggests that they have been misplaced. So, with the teleportation device we can send them back to their original time period. And if you struggle with the bolts and nuts, a metal detector will be of great help. To ensure there is no real difficulty, but a relaxing experience instead is what we get. I found this game a great pastime and easily the longest (and best) we have had from the team so far. An Arcade... comes in close 2nd for me.

I've always loved the Devcats games, but they have really catapulted this game into the catosphere. It is an exceptionally well done and highly detailed HO game. The developers have really poured their heart and soul into this game for their fans and it shows. You go through each level of a tower which represents an era of time ranging from prehistoric to space age environments. And within each level are secret levels of cats to find. And a secret level may have another secret level within it! The depth of this game is extraordinary and I believe you have over 1000 cats to find. But you don't get bored as you have minor quests to fulfil which sometimes requires you to find fish, plastic bottles or other items. Each level you have nuts and bolts to find....these can be difficult to see, but the clever devs have an answer for this problem too! Later on you acquire a metal detector which helps you find these elusive nuts and bolts. Some of the antics and positions of the cats are delightful and makes one chuckle. Certainly a tonic after a hard day. Each level also has relevant music for the era which is very well done enhancing one's experience. A fun game for all ages. Well worth the price with 2.5 to 5 hours of play depending on your speed. Highly recommended! 10 out of 10!

I have been waiting for this for over a year, and it was worth it. Devcats proves once again that they are masters at the craft. A Tower Full of Cats takes you on a journey through time and space to find cats hidden in all kinds of places. Each cat is uniquely drawn, but in the same art style, and each area - and subarea - has its own music. I particularly love the cat choir songs. After you think you are done... you are not. Simply said this is among the best HOGs out there, there is easily four to eight hours of content in here.

I like all the Devcats games but you can tell a lot of work went into this one. There's tons of cats and other hidden objects to find, extra hidden areas that you need to find items first in order to unlock access, and the music is really good in this one and changes from area to area. Usually I'll throw on a playlist in the background and just zone out, but so far I've just been listening to the in-game music. If you want something you can play and just relax, this is a great choice.
