When I achieved ending 3, I felt an ocean of tears falling out of me as I struggled to keep it together while staring at the title screen. Truly a beautiful game about love and tragedy. 10/10

i'm amazed. stunned, even. the complexity of this game is beyond mankind's comprehension - the real-time combat feels so natural and realistic, and the multiple dialogue options and endings got me thinking for hours. however, this is all no comparison to the actual depth of the game's lore. set in a mysterious medieval world full of lush foes and allies, a gay love story about gay love successfully spreads its strong anti-war message, which unfortunately is still very accurate. pursuing a beautiful tale of forbidden love, this masterpiece drove me to tears multiple times - both from grief and great delight as i watched reynauld and disqus slowly develop their unique personalities. i could talk about how great this game is for hours. however, one small flaw is preventing the game to ascend to its full potential - that is, the stunning lack of gay sex

The profundity of the dichotomy of sociopolitical perceptions of sexuality is palpable. Just kidding, this is an ironic recommendation only, it was like 5 minutes and 1 dollar and really just thought the title was mildly amusing. So I’ve been doing community service at a local Christian ran ‘non-profit’ thrift store. My primary task is sorting, pricing, and shelving the books. The other day there was a book called Pink and Say with cover art of a white boy with his arm around a black boy reading a book together. Much to my surprise an employee said, you better flip threw that and make sure it is Ok to put out. Unaware of what she meant I skimmed it and surmised the synopsis was that of a white union soldier who was saved by a former black slave and the two became unlikely friends. I was like, yeah this is fine, it’s like a wholesome interracial friendship highlighting the atrocities of war and slavery. She was like, “Oh Ok, I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t any of that LGBTQ crap cause the other day I saw a graphic novel that GET THIS not even 5 pages in had two girls kissing each other, and this is a Christian establishment so we can’t have that crap, I destroyed it and disposed of it.” I was literally instructed to destroy and dispose of any LGBTQ books I came across because this is ‘A Christian Organization’ So I confusedly just did a fake chuckle and shrug and went about my day. But I couldn’t help reflecting upon it later and how gross it was. Like I can’t conscionably be complicit in some dystopian hellscape Fahrenheit 451 shit like this. Literally using dogmatic religious propaganda to marginalize disenfranchised youth by destroying inclusive literature with representation is reprehensible. I want to channel my inner shit disturber and go on the local ‘what’s going on in my Podunk town’ facebook page and post about this interaction and stir some feathers. I want to protest and boycott the store and do my community service at an organization that is supportive of LGBTQ and Human Rights like the Trevor Project or The Human Rights Campaign. Anyways, in summation, this game is Gay. But not in like the negative connotations of a 14 year old in the 90’s saying ‘That’s Gay’. It’s just Gay. Also, not a lot to it. It’s kind of one of those games like ‘Something’ that you pay 99 cent to write a review that says well that’s Something, but on this one you say well that’s gay. 6.9/10
