If you enjoy the rough rude and crude old school New Grounds humor paired with fast and fun run and gun gameplay, you're in for a good time. The comparison to Postal 2 and Duke 3D ring true. I recommend you play this game blind to fully get the most out of the absurd humor.

When getting into this game I had very mixed expectations. I was originally drawn in by the graphics and the overall "boomer shooter" look and feel of the game. Only to be meet with a blur of chaos and acid worthy worlds. One thing that stood out to me almost instantly was the crazy weapons given to the player. Being able to use a "Tampon sniper rifle" to being able to urinate on enemies as a defense. The story itself is almost too forgettable and way too much is going on to follow it closely anyway. This game will take you all over very unique, but insane sets lets you battle with very "Unique" enemies to say the least. The game-play itself is enjoyable given its scoring. The weapons feel solid and at times the game can be challenging as well. The game relies on its craziness clearly and how unique it stands out as a FPS. There are really moments in the game you can't help but say "WTF" and that was certainly done on purpose by the developers and I am all for it. Now the game itself does have issues one main one being its pacing the game just felt like it went on for far longer than needed. By the end I was only thinking when does this madness end? There are also a few key points in the game where guidance is needed and can require you to go for 3rd party help. One moment that spoiled the game-play for me was hard locking myself because I shot an enemy by a bridge which was raised. The enemy was inside a guard box and his blood splattered all over the walls which covered up a poster telling me what I needed to do next. This was very frustrating as the blood decal never actually disappeared so I had to rely on a 3rd party to advance in the game. Another issue the game faces is that it can be headache inducing at times flashing lights and sounds are not foreign to me at all of course, but this game had me taking Tylenol at certain stages. Overall the game can stand up on it's own and the developers clearly had fun making this game with all the bonus content after end game it is well worth the price. With some bug fixes and pacing issues smoothed over the game has great potential. Just a warning to all though this game has lots of themes of poop and pee and it never ends. 5/10 Follow my curator page for more critical game reviews! https://store.steampowered.com/curator/44835038-The-Critic/

Very weird game. It's an FPS but at times felt more adventure game. There's a lot of really crass adolescent humor, but it has its amusing moments as well. I didn't love eggwife, but it was fine, interesting -certainly an experience.
