It's a 4d game, projected onto a 3d space, rendered on a 2d screen, and understood by my 1d brain

This is an incredible bloody game. No informational video will teach you to understand the fourth dimension as well as simply throwing you into the fourth dimension. Of course, this is exaggerated; the game's introduction to four-dimensional space is comprehensive and simple to understand. The manner in which the first few levels are completely flat and are essentially three-dimensional gives way to an excellent tutorial. The rest of the game wonderfully expands on the formulas by introducing elements from three-dimensional golf, such as windmills, ramps, and sand pits, while also introducing whole new things like gravity manipulators, large jumps, and ice tracks. Not even accounting for the stunning ending, this is a great all-around game that helped prove to me that there are still new directions to take games, even if we must include Ana and Kata.

I just finished the tutorial and it's much easier than it first seems once you start using all the various tools available to you. I've been following this dev for a long time and playing most of his games, and it's a pleasure to be able to finally play this. The game seems well designed and rewarding. The level editor has the polish of something developed by Maxis or Paradox Interactive 1 complaint... I got around par for pretty much every hole until the final hole of the dunes challenge, where I got 106 over par As far as the "4D" aspect goes, the more you play the less it feels 4D and the more it feels like 3D golf projected onto a 2D surface, with slopes and elevation and other properties defined by the volumes of the 3D areas. I'm not really sure what consitutes 4D but it's pretty mind bending in a very satisfying way that begs to be understood. By far one of the highlights is the Mezzanine Extra that you unlock after the Mezzanine level. It's one of the best Art Galleries I have ever experienced. Hot tip: enable metered mode for putting, it will make your shots infinitely more consistent

This is mostly very fun but I am literally begging you to add either a 'skip hole' button or an option to save progress in a course, because I am at stroke 90 on the last hole of Dunes Challenge and I would like to go and do something else without losing all my progress
