24 Killers is probably best described as a "chill" game that never gets really heavy or dramatic, but manages to still be really sweet and a little touching in a way that doesn't overstate itself. It's a fun little world to spend a few hours in, and it keeps you stimulated as you explore its charming island locale. Like Onion Games' moon, the gameplay is mostly about walking about and doing odd little tasks but the 27 years of game design advances since then are really apparent. I played 24 Killers immediately after moon and was really glad to not be hugely constrained by the stamina mechanic, to get lots of hints and directions as to what to do next, and to have a lot of little mechanics to make just moving around the island fun.

24K is the kind of game I want more of. Wherein violence is not your only modality of interfacing with the world around you. In fact, your primary objective is to *gasp* make friends and *yikes!* help others. But this is without the infantile construct of being a "cozy" game. 24K contains a surreal lore, characters, and metaphysics that are genuinely interesting to participate in, where you act as simply a glue to hold it all together. Highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys story, introspection, puzzle games, surrealism, moon:RPG (the most obvious inspiration), Hylics, Earthbound, etc.

Chill cozy game with cool worldbuilding and characters, though I wasn't really interested in replaying after the first playthrough. Would still recommend though, its just a pleasant experience.

A fun, charming, and relaxing adventure game that *really* should have gotten more attention than it did. If you're a fan of Moon, Chulip, and other similar "RPG-lite" games then you would definitely have a blast with this.

lovely game; highly recommend to anyone that enjoyed love-de-lic or skip ltd games. 24 killers does not live in their shadow, however, and found its own identity. i did not find myself bored for a second. fun characters, writing, and gameplay. there's not a great deal to say that wouldn't spoil the sense of discovery. go in blind if the steam page appeals to you at all. nitpicks/bugs (minor spoilers): i experienced a few soft locks and crashes, but did not lose too much progress. i think a mid-day save feature would provide a solution to this, as you start to have a great deal of progress in a single day after you figure out the ins and outs of the game. not fully convinced by the speedrun angle. it's a missed opportunity to not give each save exclusive story elements to incentivize replays a la nier (though there is a blessing with an additional side quest). i would prefer fewer total save slots and having the ability to unlock multiple blessings in a playthrough by meeting certain conditions. while blessings can greatly reduce the time it takes to finish, it's still a monumental undertaking to replay a game that remains largely unchanged 24 times to unlock all content. i don't believe this is something that appeals to the type of person that plays this genre of game, and there is not a great enough variety in content to justify it. actual spoiler: thank you for not making the story to have a dark twist. too many modern games of this sort did so to subvert older titles, but it has become tired. refreshing to see a writer that did not miss the point of this genre
