So I put Celine, Renne, Rufus, and Nadia in my party with Tio in reserve. Use Celine, Rufus, and Renne's crafts to generate BP, Tio casts absolute reflect which also regenerates CP for the party, then Nadia casts impassion on Celine and everyone else spams artes with "recover EP with offensive arts" master quartz equipped. Infinite EP and infinite absolute reflect. It's literally impossible to lose. It's so hilarious seeing some boss do some flashy OP Anime move and you just see "REFLECT REFLECT REFLECT REFLECT" LMAO Also, the game has a TON of really cute girls. You can make a whole loli harem if you want, but I like to include Rufus because he's the best male protagonist in the entire series. Rean is trash and a Gary Stu, and if you like Rean you should feel bad. I put him ALL the way at the end of the party when possible so I don't have to see his derpy face.

Even if you don't speak Japanese, this is still a great game. I played and beat this version before NIS America released the English version this last summer.

Title: A Grand Tapestry of Trails Continues - The Legend of Heroes: Hajimari no Kiseki Review The Legend of Heroes series has long been celebrated for its intricate storytelling, deep character development, and expansive world-building, and "Hajimari no Kiseki" (Trails into Reverie) continues this tradition with an ambitious narrative that weaves together the threads of Erebonia, Crossbell, and Liberl. Developed by Nihon Falcom, this installment serves as a bridge between the Trails of Cold Steel and the Crossbell arcs, offering both a nostalgic journey for longtime fans and an entry point for newcomers. At the heart of "Hajimari no Kiseki" is its narrative complexity. The game skillfully interconnects the destinies of characters from different arcs, providing insights into their pasts and presenting a deep exploration of the world's lore. The writing is rich and multifaceted, delivering a story that's both emotionally resonant and intellectually stimulating. The game introduces the "Cross Story" system, allowing players to experience the narrative from three different perspectives: Lloyd Bannings in Crossbell, Rean Schwarzer in Erebonia, and a mysterious third party. This innovative approach adds layers to the storytelling, as events unfold simultaneously across different regions, converging in unexpected and impactful ways. Visually, "Hajimari no Kiseki" maintains the series' distinctive anime art style. The character designs are vibrant, and the game successfully balances the charm of its animated characters with the grandeur of its expansive landscapes and cityscapes. While not pushing the boundaries of graphical fidelity, the art direction captivates with its attention to detail. Gameplay retains the classic turn-based combat system with the addition of the Brave Order system, enhancing strategic depth. The Orbment system, a staple of the Trails series, returns with its intricate character customization, allowing players to tailor each character's abilities to their preferred playstyle. The music, composed by Falcom's renowned sound team, continues to be a highlight. The orchestral score complements the emotional highs and lows of the narrative, creating a memorable and immersive experience. Voice acting, available in Japanese, adds an extra layer of depth to the characters. One notable aspect is the inclusion of the "Evanos" card game, offering a welcome diversion for players seeking a break from the main narrative. The card game is surprisingly engaging, with its own set of rules and strategies, providing a charming and enjoyable side activity. While "Hajimari no Kiseki" is a remarkable addition to the series, the game's sheer scope and interconnected narrative may be overwhelming for newcomers. It is recommended that players familiarize themselves with earlier Trails titles to fully appreciate the depth of the storytelling. In conclusion, The Legend of Heroes: Hajimari no Kiseki stands as a monumental chapter in the Trails saga. With its intricate narrative, well-crafted characters, and refined gameplay mechanics, it not only satisfies the expectations of longtime fans but also sets the stage for the next phase of the series. Falcom's commitment to storytelling excellence and world-building shines through, making this a must-play for JRPG enthusiasts invested in the Trails universe.
