Unironically came for the boobies but stayed for the gameplay. Surprisingly tight gunplay and controls.

PSA: Don't be offput if you see Youtubers having the character run around in her underwear, the game has plenty of normal clothes to wear and you can turn off the "automatically wear new clothes" in the options if you want. That out the way, This is probably the best zombie game released in years and the main reason is that is already has all the fundamentals you want: - Good third person camera that rarely lets walls or objects block your view, also if you don't like the default angle you can change the height/distance from the character, as well as toggle to between left/right shoulder focus - Solid Variety in zombies and fun ragdoll physics for when they are killed or fall off ledges, also slightly stronger variants with crystals on there heads to easily show that they're not the standard type (on top of that you can pick up and sell the crystals as well) - Meaningful gore for the zombies, e.g. if you blow off the legs there will crawl on the ground at you - Solid combat mechanics between various ranged and melee weapons, Also most of the weapons are useful to have even if you've got to the point where you have a Rifle and like 20 grenades/mines. - Solid amount of content even though it's still in early access, the first chapter of the story is there which will take you anywhere between 3-5 hours on a first playthrough depending on skill, They recently added the start of the Second chapter though that's only about the first 15-20 mins or so, A bunch of side missions that have different quirks to them (such as one where the layout of the level is randomized), and of course mods on top of that too. - Great Mod Support, the modding community is still a little small but there's a new mod for this game almost every day between steam workshop and nexus mods, The mods through workshop are as simple as pressing subscribe and bam it's in the game with 1 click. - Solid Character Customization with already a good selection of clothes to collect from the various levels, and while there's only one playable character, they have given you quite a few options to customize her appearance - Co-Op? Okay so originally the Devs said this would be a single player game only, but in the past few months it seems like they've changed their mind, so if you're looking for Co-Op maybe keep an eye out for future updates? - Solid Optimization, my friend runs this at 165 FPS - 1080p on a RTX 3070, and I run it at 120 FPS - 1440p on a RTX 4070, both with graphics set to Max with DLSS to Auto/Quality, haven't tested the game on lower end cards but it runs beautifully on those 2. Also on top of that the game is currently 3.5 GB so it's easy to fit on smaller SSDs which is always nice. I tried to keep everything brief but hopefully that gives you an idea of why I think the game is worth your time and money, that being said I also have a few small suggestions of which I will list below: - It can be hard to know where to get the pieces of clothing you're missing. so maybe something like a text hint telling where you can find that category of clothing would be good? of course an actual counter for the side missions would be even better but that would require more dev time. - we have most of the stereotypical gun types and melee weapons but it would be cool to have a Bolt Action rifle (Sniper or Hunting Rifle) and a Katana/Sword of some type, both of these I believe would compliment the weapons current available in the game. - another small thing but perhaps some gun customization would be fun, maybe suppressors and a few colors/skins for some of the guns? This isn't a big priority but I think it would be a nice addition to the character customizaion. For now I've said what I wanted to and I'm looking forward to future updates for TKA.

This is a nice game from fresh developers. It's early access and a little cringy sometimes but the Devs work extremly actively on the game and are very responsive. Don't listen to people who say it is to hard. It's a trial and error kind of game and sometimes you need to think out of the box. The more you play the better you get. The infamous stealth section has already been changed at day 2 and is much more enjoyable now. But even that wasnt hard once you figured out how. The content is plenty as well, i'd say its about as long as RE3 remake at this point, but if you dont use guides, and enjoy the expirience you'll get plenty more of time out of it since the game doesn't hold your hand like so many other games these days.

Early Access v0.5 Review + Beautiful graphics. + Good optimization. I'm on outdated hardware but the game still runs and looks great. + Amazing physics. + Weapons (both ranged and melee) feel very impactful. The axe (main melee weapon) specifically feels really satisfying to use. + Animations are really well done and during combat there's even dynamic animations intertwined with the physics depending on the weapon and the state the enemy's in. + Awesome zombie dismemberment system (i. e. if you chop off a leg, the enemy will crawl and attack you on the ground, and so on). + Everything involving the main character's control and animations is really polished and well done. Jodi can run, jump, dodge, crouch, roll, climb ledges. + Melee combat is great for a survival horror game. You got light attack, heavy attack, stomp (like in Dead Space), weapon throw, stealth assasinations and special finishers for stunned enemies. + Above average variety of game modes for an early access game. Aside from the Story Mode, you get 6 extra challenge modes. Tons of replay value. + Light clothing damage (could be heavier but I'm happy to have it anyway, even if it's minimal). + Expansive character customization: makeup options, around 230 clothing and acessory pieces, 30 hairstyles so far (according to the developer). + Chest and waist sliders. + Jodi's model puts all RE Engine ladies to shame. - There's only one story chapter available right now. This justifies the game being in early access, but for those looking for a complete survival horror campaign, be warned: the story mode is not complete yet. In conclusion, this is shaping up to be an amazing survival horror game. And no, this isn't your typical cheap asset flip waifu kusoge, it's very clear the developers care and are trying hard to deliver a polished experience here. Even if you don't care about the dress-up and character customization, you'll still enjoy this if you like survival horror/third person shooter games.
