I was not a rythm games player so I can't give some "pro opinion", but I can say that the game is great. It's beautiful, have a interesting story, good music, all this for a fine price. I'm looking foward to other kamitsubaki studio/shinsekai games.

The music selection in the base game is pretty good for CeVIO, but the songs available for the virtual singers leave something to be desired (the lack of any guest songs for KAF even with DLC is particularly disappointing). Combined with the fact the game was clearly designed mobile-first (load screens between every menu, notes are kind of hard to read if you're playing on 7 discrete keys and not a continuous touch screen, general weird mobage design choices) it does kind of feel bad to pay for it on PC. It's not a gacha game (it doesn't even really make you grind for new songs (yet)), but it does kind of feel like I got tricked into spending money on Steam for a gacha game. That being said, the base game is 4$ and I would do anything for my V.W.P. little sisters. Time will tell whether the season pass is worth it (i don't think the extra songs are right now, and you're "investing" all that money into a kind of unpolished mobile game port), but if you like CeVIO and maybe want to check out some V.W.P. songs it's a worthwhile buy.

Disclaimer: got the game on release prior to any coming patches, already a Kamitsubaki fan, and a previous osu player. Really solid gameplay for $4 USD and a great selection of tracks as is. It takes some getting used to playing but even after just 3 hours I'm starting to get the hang of it and can handle Hard stages more easily. - The UI is a bit bright but it personally matches my tastes as is. - The incessant loading screens is super annoying, especially when it's really just loading some text and sprites. I'm pretty sure my computer can handle that faster than it's happening here. - The two main columns being the same color is a little silly, and with no customization, it gets hard to read sometimes. - Season pass feels a little pricey but it'll always be there as an option after they add more to it. - (Haven't finished) but the story so far is sweet and to the point. - You can skip every cutscene if you want to. - I really wish there were furigana over the Japanese text in dialogues to make it easier to understand as a learner, but the English translation seems really competent on the whole. Overall, definitely worth the small entry fee for a solid rhythm game with a cute (and optional) story.

Early impressions! + KAFU, generally nice selection even from the base game selection so far. + Game itself has strong aesthetic style - UX is kinda bad tho, having a loading screen pop up every so often, alongside hard cuts to menu BGM and SFX - Lack of customization for the lane itself (Having both inner lanes the same color is kinda messed up.) - Offset adjustment screen doesn't have early/late indicator for some reason For a supposed non-Early Access title, it does come off as a bit janky which makes this more of a mixed recommendation instead of a recommend. For the price though, you can do much worse. Though, the sale prices for more polished rhythm games ain't that far from this one. As of now, you should probably only get it if you like KAFU and friends I guess.

For the price (~3$) it was given for the vanilla game alone (no season pass, DLC), it already includes 48 songs from each V.W.P members. If you're a fan of the group or Kamitsubaki in general, the game is worth it. The only problem I have right now is that the UI could really use more work and design. But overall, it's a decent rhythm game.
