Nice little match-3-civilization game. Clever gameplay, good mechanics with different ways to progress regarding tech tree & resources, easy to learn, INCREDIBLY HARD to master. Hell mode achievement is close to impossible -- achievement hunters, beware!

simple little game, good for the price. Though I think the "normal mode" needs more balancing, because it has very few food tiles, which makes it harder than it's supposed to be.

This is a cute little puzzle game where you have to match tiles to build a civilization: match food tiles to get food, people tiles to gain knowledge, and resource tiles to get resources. Food is required to keep your population fed (and running out will lose the game), knowledge lets you research new technologies that give you more powerful tiles, and resources can be spent on useful abilities (like hunt, which removes wild animal tiles and gives you food). Despite its simple core gameplay, it can become pretty challenging especially on harder difficulties. Running out of food has killed many of my games, and it's important to think a few steps ahead especially in the mid-game. The biggest challenge is surviving the mid-game, as late game techs give you massive advantages, and the early game is pretty easy to get you set up, but once the mid-game hits you really have to pay attention and prioritize. My only criticism is that luck is a pretty big factor especially early on. If you're low on food and not enough food tiles spawn... well, tough luck. Tiles spawn randomly so sometimes you might get exactly what you need while other times you pray to RNGsus to please give you something useful. Overall it's a fun little game for a few hours of puzzling. I quite enjoyed the mix of civilization and tile combination puzzle.

Stumbled across this randomly and for 1.99$ I figured I would give it a shot. It's very well done Match 3 puzzle game with it's own style, I want to compare it to Triple Town but the board in this is much larger and instead of choosing where to place things you chose which things to swap. The game has a variety of power ups and randomness in layout that each play through is a different experience, even the higher difficulties continue to add power ups (in this case Heroes) as a way to make them different and incentivize you to play them. There are several posts on the community forums about the games difficulty being to high but I honestly didn't have any problem with it, I did fail once early on in my second run because I didn't notice each difficulty uses more food than the previous. The in game tutorial is short, simple and explains the mechanics in a way anyone can understand even if they had it set to another language. The hardest achievement to get is to beat the game before a world war and can probably only be done on Easy. The game itself can be 100% completed in 4 to 5 hours, though if you enjoy the game it does have replay ability beyond that since every play through is different, I wouldn't expect anyone to struggle beyond 10 hours with this even if they are terrible at it. Overall at a 1.99 price point If you like puzzle games I highly recommend this, If you can get it on sale even more so.

A well-made short little strategy game. It has amazingly cute art-style and carefully crafted sound effects. The gameplay is somewhat innovative. It definitely presents a great idea. However, I wouldn't say the strategic part of this game is well executed. To begin, the playthrough of this game is extremely linear --- which is not to be well appreciated for game of this genre imo. It's not like your decision will have various impact to the game, it all comes down to a binary win-or-lose condition. To win, you are forced to pick all the upgrade anyways (also, they are staged --- you can't get to the next set without finishing the current one). "Easy" and "Normal" mode of the game is completely plain, and "Hard" and "Very hard" almost changed the entire game to a new one (Unfortunately, both of them are boringly linear) It's basically a 2048 with more mechanics. To be honest, you can pretty much find a single best solution strategically after one or two games, this is very scary for a strategic game. It's actually not that hard to make a simple modification --- just make those heroes into tightly constrained skills with cooldown and allow players to choose at the beginning of each game. Make them unlockable so that people sticks to the game a little longer... Just hot takes. Despite my complaint, I think the game is worth the penny overall, even if it's just a upgraded 2048, it is a very well-made 2048.
