I'm not really a tower defense player, outside of the typical Bloons TD, but I'm a major Touhou Project fan, so I decided to pick it up since it did look fairly cool. And let me just say, I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this game. It's a pretty typical tower defense, generally pretty simple in nature, most of the towers don't really have a lot of nuance to them, but most of the more interesting ones are unlocked later down the line. There is definitely some power creep, some of the later towers (as well as the DLC ones) definitely feel a lot stronger, and also are generally a lot more interesting to use. Even with that, some of the earlier towers do have their uses and are far from unrunable. One thing that is fairly unique to this game (or at least from what I've seen in other TD) is the concept of summoner towers, which are actually pretty cool with how they interact with the enemies. My only two real qualms are definitely the difficulty spikes (primarily during the toby fox boss and the nuclear reactor maps), as well as being a little too simple? I mostly just wish the towers had more impactful gimmicks outside of just a few, but maybe I'm a little spoiled by BT6. Otherwise, fantastic game, one of the few games I care enough to at least attempt to 100%.

Great game with a good difficulty curve. Think of it as a mix of Kingdom Rush, the tower building price and placement system of Cursed Treasure, mixed with a tiny bit of Dungeon Defenders. All towers have custom art along with several enemies, and this may sound great but it comes with one flaw. There's no gallery. For towers you can't manual place and some enemies, their art is confined to the tiny box in the status screen, though this is the only issue I personally have with the game.

I have played Kingdom Rush (Flash Games) before, so I have a hunch to play this game once I started to take a dive into Touhou over a year ago. Overall, its a good game and a fun one, especially with Endless Mode if you want an extra challenge.

quite nice game, and quite frankly i like it much more than BTD. the most notable difference is that you control a character who moves and attacks, which significantly changes how you approach the game. on one hand, you can attack enemies yourself, which can help you get some quick cash or stall bosses, among other things, but that also means that you need to move that character to your towers to manage them and collect items on the ground, which causes larger maps to become quite hectic as you scramble to fight and build, as although you can summon waves early before the current wave ends, once the waves start coming, they never stop. i just wish there were a few more towers as i feel that the game ended once the really "out there" towers started getting introduced
