I don't recommend it if you're going for gameplay value, but the story is great. No English translation- but I don't think it would be the same if it was. Some of the slang gets tricky unless you've lived through the time period.

It has smoothly brought me back to the sort of 1980s-90s China where I didn't live but can imagine based movies, books, and the good old days when I was born very soon afterwards. Playing this game needs patience, but sometimes too much patience in my view, when it comes to the lack of the function of saving progress at any time, which means when I want to leave, I need to play through to the next saving point. 逝者如斯夫。 Good luck to the developer and everyone who has shared the fascinating childhood when we were filled with one thing I sometimes see fading nowadays—hope.
